Security levels |
The program has different security levels that can be managed using the Settings dialog via the Program properties menu. A dialog opens where different settings are managed. Click the Trading to open the following page.
If Unattended security is activated the program will ask for your local password to open the user interface whenever started. To set the local password you click on the button Local password for the program. The default password is your Nordnet password. |
Unattended security level |
If Unattended security is activated the program will ask for your local password to open the user interface whenever started. This makes it impossible for anyone but yourself to see the account holdings, send manual orders and so on. Also, the program will use complete restarts for more error situations than in normal mode to ensure the most reliable operation when unattended. To set the security level to Unattended maximum security level, you can either enter the settings dialog as shown above, or use the quick settings dialog available at the activity bar: Here you can also logout locally (for example if you are going away for lunch) and minimize the program window. This demands the local password to be entered to open the program user interface again. Remember, the program still operates whenever minimized and set to Unattended mode - all automatic order models are still active. If you check the Screensaver automatically activates unattended security level, the program will automatically enter the highest security level and minimize the user interface when the screensaver is triggered. Please note, a screensaver needs to be selected in the Windows control panel for this option to work. (power down is not the same as screensaver) |
